Day Fifteen

Day 15 we set out to explore Teton Village. We took the tram ride to the top of the mountain, 10,450 feet in elevation. Temperature was in the mid 40’s but there was still a tremendous amount of snow on the ground. The hut at the top served specialty waffles and I definitely recommend the brown sugar waffle with a hot cocoa chaser. After a brief reading time back at the condo, we dressed and headed out again for the afternoon adventure..rafting down the Snake River. Julie’s back was hurting her, so she opted out. No pictures from the rafting trip, I have not found a way to hold onto a paddle and carry a camera as well. It was a great float. J Gar sat in the middle of the raft and echoed the guides every instruction… paddle forward now…all together paddle….right forward left backward…I think he has a future on a rowing team, just not the rowing part. The rapids were larger than the Colorado and we all had to wear wet suits. Now you know why there are no pics. Wet suits are very form fitting and, at least for me, not very flattering. But we were glad to have them as the water was a smooth 50 degrees. After the trip we had a BBQ Chicken dinner back at the rafting base. Returned around 9pm and again, fell into bed.
