Day Twenty Six

Day 26 We left Winner, SD and moved out of wheat country and into corn country. I think we might just consume a little too much corn. We made a stop in Yankton, SD at the Lewis and Clark Center overlooking the Big Muddy, Missouri River. We pushed on across Nebraska and made it to Omaha. Mostly a travel day. Can’t say enough about how good my kids are getting at the “grab the luggage kids” its time to check in. I have had some difficulty with my left shoulder’s rotator cuff (to the point I can’t really use my left arm), so the kids have done all of the luggage moving and are really getting good at operating all of the parts of the RV, except for the driving part.

  1. Corn soon will be high as an elephants eye…that beautiful sight reminds me of Illinois where I always heard good corn should be knee high by Fourth of July and that one could hear it grow an inch day after that. Those cute prairie dogs are considered pests suitable only for target practice by my Illinois kin. So sorry the arm is in a bad state . You may need repair soon as u get home. Cliff would enthusiastically recommend his ortho doc. Stephen Cowley on Montclair road. Think Graham is listed agent for their buildings sale. He is in with lemack.likely would be arthroscopic limp in leap out special. Perhaps a sling now would be a stabilizing comfort. Just think how soon you can be propped up surrounded by tons of pillows in your own bed. Just keep easing on toward home, carefully.
