Day 26. This was a simple travel day. 3 hour drive from Omaha down to Kansas City. This was our only downtown big city stop and we chose to stay at a hotel right next to Country Club Plaza, a well known outdoor shopping area in KC. Only problem, no oversized parking area. We found a place on the street two blocks downhill from the hotel. Quite a sight seeing all of us push a luggage cart up two city blocks and across a four lane highway. But we made it. Heading out on the town tonight. Now I am all caught up on the blog. And Griz did not think I would be able to follow through on this. Ha!

See the Clampetts have hit KC now and papa bear looks a tad more comfortable. Think at least one of you should have had a hand lettered cardboard sign to carry as u schlepped all your stuff down the road. Will work for…?, kids for sale? Sounds hysterical. When you get to the arches you will really have fun packing into the sardine size car to motor to the top. Save ur best farts for that ride. Oops can u tell I’ve been on leaded cough medicine for a couple of days and am riding high? I’m sticking with that and u stick with icy hot. Please forego roast duck in Memphis and stick with barbecue or the Elvis fried peanut butter and banana sandwich. Happy trails as you roll on home. Love Non & C
